It is beyond my comprehension that God gave so much (John 3:16) because He loved so much. He gave His own beloved Son for our salvation. The Son of God, at horrendous personal cost, paid so much (2 Peter 3:9) because He was not willing that any should perish but that all would come to repentance. Our salvation (1 Peter 1:18-19) was not purchased by corruptible things like gold and silver but by the precious, priceless Blood of Jesus, which was poured out in the excruciating depths of untold agony. I pray that the Holy Spirit will take me deeper into understanding and gratitude for the cost of so great salvation and the worthiness of the Lamb of God. I want to love my Lord so supremely and whole heartedly that nothing will matter except obeying and pleasing Him. Jesus said (Hebrews 10:5-7) I am here to do Your will, O God. You have prepared a body for me to offer. When God is pleased (Galatians 1:16) to reveal His Son in me, my created human body is what God prepared through which body He will accomplish His will in the world. Just as the body of Jesus was the instrument of God’s will FOR the world, in exactly the same way, my body is the instrument of God’s will IN the world. How is it possible that my weak ageing body can be an instrument of God’s will? Because (Ephesians 3:19-20) I am filled to all the fullness of God, filled and flooded with God Himself and He works powerfully within me to fulfill His purpose.
If my life (Colossians 3:3) is hidden with Christ in God, I will be concealed in Jesus and Jesus will be revealed in me. If I clothe myself (Colossians 3:10, Colossians 3:12) with Jesus and His righteousness, the clothing that He is, will be obvious to those in my world. In my oneness (John 16:23) of confident relationship with Jesus, I have no question, no complaint and no worry. I have no need to know WHY about anything because I know WHO is in charge of everything.
When fear knocks at my door, faith answers - - and there is nobody there. When my heavenly Father reveals Jesus in me, it is for the fulfillment of His fore-ordained purpose for me. Of course, I don’t understand everything God allows in my life and in the world, but I have no anxiety or fear. I am satisfied that God always knows and does what is good, best and beneficial even if it includes physical pain. All who choose to live godly lives in this world (2 Timothy 3:12) will suffer persecution. I must continually learn (2 Timothy :3) to endure hardness as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. I can (Philippians 4:6) thank God for Everything. I am safe in the Sovereignty of God, and I am content with God’s will.
God declares (Isaiah 46:10) the end from the beginning. At the beginning of my life (Psalms 139:16) God prepared everything that would be needed in my life to make a complete and perfect end to my life on earth. Injustice is not conquered by more injustice but only by righteous Justice. Darkness is not conquered by more darkness but only by spiritual Light. God can use my life as His instrument, His agent of Justice and Light in this wrong-doing and dark world.
Prayer is sharing with God in the vital ministry of the interior and my prayers are the verbal expression of the wonderful loving heart of God.
The eternal God (Deuteronomy 33:27) is my Refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms. I am continually sheltered safe and secure in the loving arms of my beloved heavenly Father.
