Recently while I was talking with the Lord, not exactly praying, just talking, He gave me this thought about prayer.
Our prayer requests give God the opportunity to adorn our risen Saviour with the shining jewels of answered prayer. Every time we ask for something in prayer, it can mean another fabulous gem in a diadem for the Lord Jesus. Prayer is our part in the grand preparations for the glorious coronation of His Majesty, King Jesus.
What an encouragement to faith. How could I ever think that any Spirit-directed prayer will not be answered, be it for in my home, next door or anywhere in the world? Whether the answer comes differently from what I expected or if I never hear of the answer, makes not the slightest difference. Prayer is my God-given privilege to participate in the readying for the coronation.
How awesome is our trembling privilege to have personal relationship with the Sovereign Lord of the universe!
