For some time this thought has been clamoring for my attention. Its insistence caused me, finally, to know I had to write it.
Every new day as it dawns is God's personal, loving gift to us. Each day begins as a significant, unsullied, yet-to-be-written page in the momentous journal of our lifetime. Our day may be filled with mundane routines and/or pressure and difficulty.
Here's another gift that comes with each precious, new day. We can abide in our risen Lord and allow Him to live His victorious Life in and through us; with open hands we can thankfully receive our day and fill it with love, trust and obedience. Then, at the closing of each day, we can return it to our heavenly Father as our personal, loving gift to Him.
Is that the end of it? By no means! God will take that day and invest it in eternity.
You may have many surprises in store for you. Those little things, here and there, which you thought had no importance, you may one day be awed to find have been transformed into gold, silver and precious jewels.
Remember, the Lord has a book of remembrance for those who think on His Name (Malachi 3:16).
